if you can get to Kentucky and get your hands on some, Very Old Barton is *the* best bang for your buck bourbon you can get. Trav had me bring back a whole case the last time I was at NCM Motorsports Park.

The partials are all different varieties. Even the ones that are the same brand (I have a ridiculous amount of Garrison Brothers) are different expressions.

Just in GB I have:

Flagship (their regular “stock” bourbon)

Single Barrel (from at least 3 different barrels)

COTA Opening Day Single Barrel Reserve

2013 Cowboy - Cask strength and unfiltered

2017 Cowboy - Cask strength and unfiltered

Ideally, I just need to become a raging alcoholic for a month or so to clean out the bar but I fear that would have side effects that are counterproductive.

Speaking of, it sucks that Buffalo Trace has been sold out of nearly every bar/liquor store in NYC. I asked a few liquor store owners who told me something about artificial shortages to raise prices.

Guess you’re just going to have to come down to Tennessee where the bourbons and whiskeys flow like water. Not even kidding I know a place where a very good old fashion using buffalo trace is $8.50. It’s so plentiful we can mix it.

This is my go to Bourbon for Old-Fashions. Complements the ingredients well. But my preferred Bourbon to consume neat, is Elijah Craig Barrel Strength. That is by far the best bourbon I’ve ever enjoyed.

Also, another great value bourbon is 1792 and in the same taste realm as Eagle Rare. It’s about $28, and it is way better than you’d expect from something so inexpensive.
